Reliability and Failure Analysis

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)

Cascade Engineering’s Failure Analysis Lab provides Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) Analysis.

Used to perform organic contamination analysis and forensic analysis. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy is used to identify the organic composition of materials and isolate material property variations.

FTIR is frequently required in the analysis of fluids such as paints, pigments & inks, plastic materials such as industrial plastics, polymers and rubbers and pharmaceuticals.

Our spectroscope features a built-in mid and far-IR capable diamond ATR with a spectral range of 10 – 25,000 cm-1 and a spectral resolution better than 0.07 cm-1
